On November 14th, the Sakarya Phase II MEG (Monoethylene Glycol) module fabricated by Himile for TPAO was completed at Himile Rushan factory.
This module is 44.3 meters long, 21.1 meters wide, and 29 meters high, weighing 2,500 tons. It is about 40 billion times different from Himile's current lightest product, a 0.06-Spring Vent sleeve!

This product is mainly used for natural gas dehydration, enabling the regeneration and recycling of ethylene glycol, and ensuring the continuous and stable production of offshore natural gas.
Since receiving the order in July 2024, more than 90 on-site representatives from five companies ( End user,EPC,Direct client, and two inspection companies) and 8 subcontractors participated together. After 16 months, 1.4 million working hours, and over 500 personnel at the peak period, the goal of on-time completion has been successfully achieved.
This is the fruitful result of the sincere cooperation between Himile and world-class companies such as TP-OTC, GOE, and SLB, and it is also a milestone for Himile to enter the international high-end offshore industry.
Core Highlights
The spatial concentration of this module is twice that of other ordinary modules, and the construction difficulty increases exponentially. Relying on rich experience, full-process quality control and all-round safety supervision, Himile achieved one-time successful installation and high-quality acceptance, with zero lost working hours and zero work-related accidents. It is 100% ahead of the IOGP index (used to measure the safety performance of the oil and gas industry). All safety data of the MEG project are comprehensively better than the IOGP industry standards.
The MEG module quality standards are extremely high, which is rare in the industry. All structures are re-tested by an independent NDT testing agency, approximately 40,000 inches of pipelines undergo 100% endoscopic inspection, and a team of 40-50 professional quality inspectors is hired to be on-site for full-process control. Himile has always adhered to the principle of "Focusing on customer needs and continuously improving and enhancing", and successfully completed the construction of the 2,500-ton module and passed the acceptance checks by all parties.

This completion marks Himile's transformation from 100-ton-level skids to 1,000-ton-level process modules. The Rushan factory has completed a systematic upgrade and established a comprehensive capability system covering hardware facilities, management systems, and talent echelons, laying a solid foundation for undertaking more complex offshore modules in the future.
